With the support of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation, friendly kickboxing bouts were held at the Ramana Olympic Sports Complex on 17 August 2026.
A total of 134 athletes took part, representing 14 sports clubs: R.M., Melisa, Abşeron, Şəhid İnqilab, Qızıl Əlcək, Avşar, Qartal, Samuray, Həzrət, X.T.Q., Elit, Tərtər, Qələbə and Mübarizlər.
The main aim of the friendly bouts is to give athletes more competition experience, strengthen their physical and psychological preparation, and develop healthy rivalry and the exchange of experience between clubs.
The event was organised by Xocavənd Sports Club (Araz Ağayev). The competition was run by chief referees Elşən İsayev and Elşad Ələskərov. Footage of the bouts was shared as a video on the federation's official Facebook page.
Holding such events with the federation's support in different regions of the country and in sports clubs contributes to the development of kickboxing, the training of young athletes and their better preparation for future competitions.
