An international kickboxing tournament was held in the city of Kars, Türkiye, on 8–10 August 2026. It brought together 413 athletes from 10 countries, including athletes from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Georgia, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iran and Armenia.
The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was represented by three teams: Levent Bulut Fight Club, led by coach Etibar Qəribov; the Şərur team; and Naxçıvan Araz Kickboxing Club, led by coach Elvin Qoçəliyev.
Kickboxers from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic won 34 medals in total at the tournament: 22 gold and 12 silver.
As the federation noted, this result shows that kickboxing is developing successfully in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, that its young athletes have great potential, and that the coaches' purposeful work is bearing fruit. The federation wished new successes and new victories to all the coaches, above all Etibar Qəribov and Elvin Qoçəliyev, who made a major contribution to the team's preparation and participation in the tournament.
