The Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation held a seminar on the WAKO electronic system for referees and coaches in the Göygöl district. The seminar took place on 8 May 2026 in the assembly hall of the Göygöl District Youth and Sports Sector.
Participants discussed in detail the electronic scoring system, the management of referees and how coaches are kept informed during a bout. The seminar was led by WAKO international referees Aydın Ağabəyov and Anar Məmmədov.
Referees and coaches from Gəncə, Göygöl, Ağstafa, Tərtər, Şəmkir, Samux, Goranboy, Kürdəmir, Ağsu, Qəbələ, Mingəçevir, İsmayıllı and Kəlbəcər took part.
On the instructions of the federation's leadership, similar seminars are planned on a regular basis in other cities and districts of the country. Such events aim to educate referees and coaches, develop their knowledge and skills and raise their level of professionalism.
